An engagement survey is designed for breadth. Use it to understand the employee experience across several topics and identify priorities for action.

Open the builder

From the dashboard, choose Create survey. The builder guides you through five areas:
  1. Start — name the survey and choose how to begin.
  2. Questions — add, remove, and order questions.
  3. Audience — choose who can respond.
  4. Settings — configure demographics, language, dates, and privacy.
  5. Review — preview the survey before publishing.

Choose a starting point

Use a template when you want a proven structure. Use the question bank when you want to assemble your own survey. Add custom questions when the wording must be specific to your organization.

Keep the purpose visible

Write down the decision the survey should support. Every question should help explain that decision, measure a priority, or invite useful feedback.
For a first survey, prefer a clear diagnostic over a long inventory of every possible topic.

Save and return

Drafts can be revisited before publishing. Use the builder’s preview modes to check the respondent experience without making the survey live.
Yes. Return to the builder and continue through the relevant tab before publishing.
Use an engagement survey for a broad baseline. Use a pulse program for short recurring check-ins and follow-up topics.
